How long will my home take to build?
Your new home will be complete and ready to move in within 4 to 6 months from the start of construction (weather permitting). Can’t wait? Please check our inventory homes that are ready for move in now.


Is a real estate agent required?
No. Our team of professional sales and support staff is experienced in all phases of new home construction and will assist you throughout this exciting process. However, if you do have an agent, we will also happily work with your buyer’s agent.


I love the neighborhood and want to build, but I have a house to sell. How does that work?
Many of our buyers have to sell their existing properties prior to building. We will be happy to accept an offer to build or buy an inventory home that is contingent upon you selling your existing home.

Is it possible to customize floor plans?
Yes! Want to move doors, windows, or walls? NO PROBLEM! Have an idea for the design of your kitchen? NO PROBLEM! Nearly every home we build is customized to meet our homeowner’s needs and lifestyle.


What amenities does your community offer?
In addition to being directly adjacent to George Winter County Park, our neighborhood features tree lined streets with over 5 miles of connecting sidewalks. Our beautiful common ground includes a private 3 acre stocked lake that is surrounded by a paved jogging and walking path.


How much earnest money is required?
We require a total of $7,500 in earnest money rather than the high percentage of total cost most new home builders require. Most of our clients choose to break this into 3 payments that are set up to coincide with various stages of construction of your home.


What kind of warranty do you offer on your homes?
In addition to providing a 10 year limited structural warranty (free of charge) which is administered by Residential Warranty Corporation, Winter Green Development Corporation also subscribes to the much sought after Pro Home national warranty system. The combined services of these national corporations gives our homeowners the best possible peace of mind available today.


Will I be allowed access to our home during construction?
Absolutely! Our experience has shown that the more involved you are in the building process, the happier you will be with the end product.


How much experience does the builder have?
More than twenty-five years of building custom homes in the St. Louis area. We are also proud members of the Home builders association (HBA) and subscribe to their industry building standards.


What makes Wintergreen Development homes different?
Our homes feature DOZENS of standard features that most other builders call upgrades. We also happily customize all of our homes to meet your needs, and encourage your involvement during the building process.


What price range are the homes in Winter Lake Estates?
Our base prices range from the upper $190’s to the mid $370’s


How many square feet are in your homes at Winter Lake Estates?
The square footage of our homes ranges from 1450 square feet to over 2500 square feet. With customization, we have homes in Winter Lake Estates that have over 3100 square feet.
